Splendid Medien AG, headquartered in Cologne, has acquired a participation in Joker Productions GmbH, based in Kiel, through its subsidiary Splendid Entertainment GmbH. The remaining shares are subject to an option agreement.

We acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the buyer. Our services comprised the supporting of the acquisition process, including company valuation and preparation of a non-binding offer.

The Splendid group is a leading German company in the field of film marketing. More than 100 employees at several locations cover all exploitation stages, including production, licensing as well as related services as digitization/new media and dubbing.

Joker Productions GmbH was founded in 1996 and is a successful producer of TV formats as well as advertising- and image films. The operational focus lies on non-fictional TV formats, such as "Die Geissens", "Die Wollnys" and "Sarah und Pietro". The customer structure comprises all relevant private and public TV stations.

The participation in Joker Productions shall continue the in 2015 initiated formation of the business area TV productions.
