DocuWare/Ricoh Group Announces Acquisition of DocuScan

Germany-based digital solution provider brings its unique knowledge and expertise to the DocuWare organization.
DocuWare, a leading provider of document management and workflow automation solutions announces its acquisition of DocuScan.
Headquartered in Erftstadt near Cologne, Germany, DocuScan a leading IT services provider in the field of digitization for over 20 years, has built its reputation by providing expert services and customized workflow automation solutions to medium-sized enterprises throughout Germany.
“When we heard of DocuScan’s plan to sell, it quickly became clear that not only would an acquisition protect their employees and customers; it would also allow us to merge their skills, experience and expertise with ours to lead the way in improving business efficiency and workflow automation,” stated Dr. Michael Berger, DocuWare President.

DocuScan is wholly owned by DocuWare and will continue to operate as an independent entity within DocuWare.
In 2019, DocuWare itself was acquired by Ricoh. As a wholly owned subsidiary, DocuWare operates independently and continues to focus exclusively on the development of its proven ECM solution and the expansion of its global partner network.
Headquartered in Germany and the US, the company employs people around the world to support sales in the Americas, EMEA and APAC. In addition, there are offices in France, Spain, Bulgaria and Australia.
Transfer Partners' mandate covered the entire process, including preparation of transaction-related documents, identification and approach of suitable candidates/prospective buyers, due diligence management and support in the final negotiations up to signing and closing.
