Prof. Dr. Jochen Mackert studied, among other things, information management in the Elite Network program at the Technical University of Munich. He then earned his doctorate at the Chair of Analytics and Optimization at the University of Augsburg. After completing his doctorate, he worked in industry as a data scientist in digital auditing and as a project manager for digital transformation projects, among other roles. In 2024, he was appointed to the Chair of Digitalization at DHBW Karlsruhe, where his responsibilities include overseeing the Digital Business Management program and leading the Laboratory for Innovative Business Software. His research on data-driven decision support has been published in numerous academic journals. In addition, he advises medium-sized companies on the design and implementation of digital transformation initiatives, both as an operational consultant and through advisory board appointments.
