Transfer Partners exclusively advised the shareholders of Franz Fischer Spedition on the sale of the company to Schenk Tanktransport.
Franz Fischer Spedition, based in Nienburg (Weser), specialises in the transport of chemicals in Europe, with a particular focus on the DACH region and the UK. Its state-of-the-art fleet can transport both non-hazardous and hazardous goods in classes 3 to 9, specialising in hot products such as liquid sulphur, glycols, waxes and corrosive chemicals. With around 220 employees and more than 75 years of market experience, Franz Fischer Spedition is considered an established player in the market.
Schenk Tanktransport is one of the leading tank transport companies in north-western Europe, headquartered in Pappendrecht, Netherlands, in the gases, food, energy, chemicals, hydrogen and special logistics sectors. In 2021, the company was acquired by the Argos Fund, which has been pursuing a targeted international buy-and-build strategy since 2024. With the acquisition of Franz Fischer Logistik, Schenk is strengthening its presence in the DACH region, further expanding its service portfolio in the chemical sector and entering new markets.
As part of the transaction, the previous managing partner Franz Fischer will remain with the company as managing director to support the further growth of Schenk Tanktransport.
“The transaction secures the long-term future of Franz Fischer Spedition and offers both Franz Fischer and Schenk Tanktransport a strong partnership for further growth in Europe.”
