Transfer Partners advised the shareholders of Innolectric AG, headquartered in Bochum, Germany, on its capital increase after which listed company Bel Fuse, Inc., based in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, now holds 33% of the share capital. Bel Fuse has usual minority protection rights as well as the option to further expand ownership stake upon achievement of key milestones.

Innolectric is an engineering company specialized in eMobility with a focus on power electronics and charging communication. The core product of the portfolio is the innolectric on-board charger, which is available in 400V and 800V versions. The product is characterized by its high flexibility, enabling both AC and DC charging while achieving an efficiency of more than 96%.

The strategic partnership with Bel Fuse creates significant synergy potentials for innolectric in the areas of production and sales and enables it to exploit the current and future potentials in the eMobility market. Tim Karcher, CEO of innolectric, commented, " our focus to date has been on product development and we look forward to leveraging Bel’s solid reputation, customer base and global reach to introduce our products to new customers. With outsourced manufacturing and procurement functions and an undeveloped sales team, we believe Bel’s capabilities will be additive in these areas to us."

Transfer Partners' mandate covered the entire M&A-process, including drafting transaction-related documents, identifying, and approaching suitable prospective candidates, managing due diligence, and supporting negotiations through to a successful closing.
