Transfer Partners exclusively advised the shareholders of Verkehrswacht Parkplatz GmbH, based in Düsseldorf (Germany) on the sale of their shares to Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH located in Bielefeld (Germany).
Verkehrswacht Parkplatz GmbH began operating municipal parking lots in Düsseldorf in 1966. The company's particular expertise includes the management of parking facilities at major events and trade fairs, such as the largest funfair on the Rhine, the events at Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the open-air cinema or the public fairs “boot” and “Caravan Salon”. With more than 100 employees, the company recently achieved a turnover of € 14 million.
Goldbeck Services GmbH - part of the Goldbeck Group - is based in Bielefeld and specialises in real estate services in the areas of property and facility management as well as parking services. With 136 parking objects and approx. 72,000 parking spaces, GPS now has a comprehensive and dense network of parking objects in Germany and Austria.
The acquisition of VWP added 44 parking properties with more than 30,000 parking spaces in 17 German cities. Goldbeck had started a new business segment four years ago with the foundation of GPS. The company is pursuing a "Make & Buy" strategy. The takeover and full integration of OPG Center-Parking GmbH in 2016 was an important step in this direction.

The merger will achieve even greater coverage and customers of both companies will benefit in the future from additional parking space management services throughout Germany. From a technological point of view, all the car parks managed by the two companies will be able to access their own 24/7 control centre, so that car park customers can contact one of the most modern control centres personally at any time.
Transfer Partners was mandated with the complete sales process including the preparation of the transaction-related documents, the research and identification of suitable buyers, the structuring of the due diligence examination and conducting negotiations up to successful completion of the transaction.
